Saudi Arabia Submits Registration Dossier for Expo 2030 Riyadh to BIE

Paris, Mar. 07, 2025 – Saudi Arabia has officially submitted the Registration Dossier for World Expo 2030 Riyadh to the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), showcasing the Kingdom’s determination and readiness to host this significant global event.

The dossier was presented by H.E. Fahad M. Al-Ruwaily, the Saudi Ambassador to France, to BIE Secretary General Dimitri S. Kerkentzes.

This Registration Dossier is crucial for organizing the World Expo, serving as the foundation for operational plans and the preparatory phase. It underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fulfilling its international responsibilities while highlighting its ability to host large-scale events.

This submission follows Saudi Arabia's selection as the host country for World Expo 2030 during the BIE's 173rd General Assembly on November 28, 2023. The dossier outlines a comprehensive plan for the Expo, detailing operational timelines, legislative and financial frameworks, the Expo site Master Plan, conditions for international participation, and legacy strategies.

The BIE Secretariat and Member States will review the dossier in preparation for the formal registration of Expo 2030 Riyadh by the General Assembly. After registration, Saudi Arabia can commence its Expo preparations and extend invitations to international participants through diplomatic channels.

Dimitri S. Kerkentzes, the BIE Secretary General, emphasized that the Registration Dossier serves as a detailed guide for organizers, participants, and the BIE as the project progresses, reflecting the commitment of Saudi authorities to thorough Expo preparations.
